When you want to sip craft brews, explore the Virginia Beach Beer Trail. It is designed to celebrate local breweries from the Chesapeake Bay District to the oceanfront. Here are a few of the trail's breweries near our apartments in Virginia Beach:
Pleasure House Brewing
At Pleasure House Brewing, the brewers create full-flavored ales in small batches. They enjoy adding creative twists to classic styles and sometimes push the boundaries of their own production guidelines. Brews include Shark Tears Gose, We Don't Cross the Lesner, and Liquid Communication. Food trucks are onsite when you want a bite to eat with your ice-cold drinks. The brewery extends its hours until 11:00 p.m.
Reaver Beach Brewing Co.
The Virginia Beach location is where it all began. The Reaver Beach Brewing Co. is the oldest craft brewery in the city, and it serves some of the funkiest beers around. It's known for its lineup, and the offerings keep everyone coming back for more. Brews include Seadevil, Hazy Tides, and The Red Messenger.
Wasserhund Brewing Company
Created out of a passion for German Beer, the Wasserhund Brewing Company offers a place that feels like home. Owners Aaron and Christine have two dogs that love to play in the creek behind their house. When the couple was naming the brewery, they decided to look up the German name for a water dog. Beers include Doggy Paddle, Haywire Husky Coffee Lager, and If You're Happy and You Know It (Wag Your Tail). For a delicious meal, try the beer bratwurst or chicken tenders basket.
