If you and the family want to get into the holiday spirit, look no further! We have rounded up some fantastic light displays near the Apartments at Spence Crossing, in Virginia Beach and beyond. It may not snow this Christmas, but these holiday lights will dazzle and delight!

Holiday Lights at the Beach

2nd Street and the Virginia Beach Boardwalk
Set against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, this annual display of holiday lights is a winter wonderland! This year you can check out a Surfing Santa, color-changing archways, a spectacular 40-foot dancing-light Christmas tree, the largest and longest curved LED Light Tunnel in the United States, and so much more. This is a drive-through light display (the one time of year when you may drive on the boardwalk), with vehicles entering the boardwalk on 2nd St. and exiting at 33rd St.

Norfolk Botanical Gardens: Garden of Lights
Through January 5
6700 Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk
Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of this award-winning light display! Enjoy a magical walk through the garden and immerse yourself in more than 1.5 million twinkling lights. A mobility shuttle is available for those who would prefer to not walk, and it can be booked by calling at least one day prior. And on Sunday nights, visitors are invited to bring dogs to the garden light display! Member dogs receive free admission with a paid ticket; non-member dogs are $5 each with a paid ticket. Book your tickets in advance because this popular attraction frequently sells out!

701 Town Center Drive, Newport News
Ring in the holiday season at City Center in Newport News. Enjoy festive music, carnival games, strolling entertainers, holiday décor, food vendors, an ice-sculpting exhibition, face painters, crafts, and the official lighting of the City Center holiday tree.
